Art festival in the mist

Still more Girl's Getaway Weekend Well, "It's Art!" I guess this artist was a "butt" man. Can't you just see these pieces hanging in a proctologist's office?

The art show went on for blocks, partially shrouded in the early morning mist.
What art show is complete without an Art Car?
Despite the grey, the mood was light and colorful.
This piece certainly attained it's goal! The artist created it with the intent of bringing laughter to the viewers.
The spider's webs were ornamented in surreal dew pearl necklaces. There you go, Mom.
Another laughter display.
Dad, this one is for you! Oh, if I had a few thousand dollars, it would have come home with me for your birthday. I couldn't keep my eyes off this piece. He so perfectly captured the late afternoon before the sunset glass and warmth of a beautiful day out. Mmmm.

It's good to be me, and I hope you have enjoyed your virtual Girl's Getaway Weekend!

This may be the longest weekend ever...

Girls Getaway Weekend continues! The walk along the Santa Barbara Pier.
Many seafood places
You can pick out your own crab!
We watched outriggers practicing...
Hi Mr. Seagull!
This guy was a celebrity!

Does anyone else find this to be a little bit ironic? Or at least a waste of effort?Map for our bearings...
That's right! I'm posting on Thursday, Pirate Day! Arrrr!!!! Thurrrrrrsday...

The view back at the palm tree lined beach. You can't tell from this picture since it was too foggy, but there are stupendous mountains in the background on a clear day.
These dolphins are probably the signature mark of Santa Barbara.
And with that I sign off for the post. Next post will be of our impromptu art tour.

Girls Getaway Weekend continues! Let's take a break for lunch! The entrance to the restaurant we dined at
Crystal's "Raw" lunch. Oh drool, drool!
The up the street
The orange building is the "Raw" restaurant we lunched at.

Our view from our lunch

Keeping with my fast: All natural, plucked from nature and put on my plate foods. The soup constitutes a "clear liquid" with natural, plucked from nature and could be put right into my mouth food. Oh, but God is Good!!!

The Girls!

It's good to be me and take my lunch out on the patio!

If I had a daughter, this towel would have come home with me. Since I don't, it stayed there in the shop.
Mermaid statue.
Another mermaid towel. Way cute!!!

Taking time to stop and smell the roses

Girls getaway weekend continues!!!! Don't the girls look lovely? And the rose below, well, yes, it actually is a rose!
Looked to me like a chyrsanthemum or dahlia, but it was a rose!

A Crystal tucked amongst the roses
Stamen, momma!
Ah, it sure is nice to be able to take some time to stop and smell the roses!
The rose above was so intoxicating! I wish you could have been able to experience the tangy aroma.

Yup, there I am! Having a blast on our girls getaway weekend. More pics to follow!
