Let's go fly a kite!

The day was perfect for getting out and releasing Spiderman and the Transformers onto the city!
Special thanks to Kati for giving me something she had been given for her wedding: a stackable yellow lunch thingy. Turns out that after 2 kids, a 4 part compartment is not big enough for a picnic.
At $5 each, these kites were fantastic! Even the red streamer made for great flying.
 The prime kite flying location...
...and perfect conditions. It's good to be me.

Evening in Palma De Mallorca

When Crystal and I got back to the room, there was the cokes and water we had asked for, in spades! The 6 pack was a nice touch!
We bundled up and went for an evening walk about the town. We kept noticing the graffiti, but were amused that the graffiti was quite lovely! I think I can handle this type of graffiti
 The sky line of Palma
This part reminded me of home...sweet San Diego harbor
But with a twist. I enjoyed reading the names of the boats.
We stopped for some coffee and hot chocolate...
...and found the garbage cans to be quite interesting! No rubber duckies in the above one, but you can put them in red one!
 The map of the city
We enjoyed watching the sunset from the ship
...and were amused by our neighboring cruise line, with lipstick!

You can see the cathedral to the left, and the beach to the far right where I swam. Great day!

Likely my favorite day

 Palma De Mallorca, Spain!
It was an exquisite day, and Crystal and I were thrilled to be well enough to get out and about. We had spent nearly 2 days laying in bed, feverish with absolutely no energy. So our goal for the day was to walk to the beach in Spain and lay out. Included in that, for me, was to swim in the Mediterranean. (Crystal passed, as she was still not feeling great. I wasn't either, but I simply could not pass up the opportunity. My mermaid blood was too strong)
The cathedral was beautiful from the outside. We did not go inside partially because we really wanted to go to the beach, and partially because it was closed.
Outside the cathedral, these swans continued their romance. I can imagine that generations of swans in love lived here.
Part of the gardens with koi...and of course, door knockers still fascinate me.

 Crystal got into the spirit!
I thoroughly enjoyed soaking up the sun
Then we came to the beach! My first time swimming in the Mediterranean Sea! (hopefully not my last)

 Map of our area
We walked back along the shoreline, happy to not be sick!
I happen to like crabs as it is my astrological sign (not that that means anything significant) and because it is an ocean creature.
 What a fantastic day!

Then we arrived in Seville~ November 6th 2012

We went up a river and through a barge....

...and ended up in Seville!

We took a horse drawn ride through town in the rain...

...and I took in the local culture. This was in the cathedral which was truly impressive.

The real treasure was going up in the tower and seeing the view!

Yes, we were happy girls!

Gibraltar UK, Monday November 5th, 2012

THERE'S AFRICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...and they haven't been back since!
We were worried about the monkeys taking our stuff, our cameras or glasses, so we kept our distance for a while...
...but then we got a bit more bold as we saw that the monkeys weren't too impressed with us. We didn't have anything to eat or drink or that was shiny.

 me and africa!!!!
there were baby monkeys and geriatric monkeys. All intriguing.

 these flowers were fascinating!
We had taken a taxi to go up the rock, but decided to hike back down. Completely worth it!

What else to eat when in the UK but fish and chips?

 Pretty kitty!
They still use pounds there. Beautiful money, and it made me think of my dear grandma. I didn't get to show her the hummingbird.
By the time we got back to the boat, the rain finally decided to show itself, and we were glad for the blessing of good weather the whole day!
The rock looked much colder at the end of the day, so we did what the brits do, cup of tea!
and a game to tide us over until dinner.
Then we finally got a bit dressed up
 Four foul

 Cheesecake and Creme Brulet

 Escargo... mmmmm!

Quite the lovely trip!
