Grandpa's Practice Birthday

I went ahead and made dinner for my grandpa and brought it over to him to celebrate his birthday a little early.
I made a tortellini with grilled chicken and spinach, squash, sauted asparagus, and rolls.Poor grandpa had just had surgery on some blasted skin cancer, so wasn't feeling too hot. We were going to go watch the SDSU vs University of Utah game as his present, but the weather was cold, rainy, and he just wasn't up to it.

Instead, we had dinner together, and Grandma made strawberry cake for dessert and we listened to the game on the radio together. It was a nice evening, even though the Aztecs lost. Ah well. Good thing we hadn't gone and sat in the cold rain just to see them loose!

Concert!!!

So I have no idea who these people were, but I actually got to do something other than write a thesis! One of my friends suggested that we go to this 94.9 (radio station) anniversary party. I thought it was a good idea too!
So off we went, and, despite not knowing any of the songs, I had a great time. Sitting next to me was a lady who told me that the lead singer was her nephew. I felt sorry for her though, because he acted like he was on crack or something, but they were awesome, and I enjoyed the show. Good times!
