My version of a "White" Christmas

Allow me, with my new trusty camera, to show you a new spin off of a
White Christmas...
The white paper I use to make my notes on the patients I saw on Christmas...White water, perfect for a Christmas afternoon of surfing, like this guy did...White rain clouds decended on the freeway...

White cords in camelia bushes... (funny story about that... Grams or Gramps bought a bunch of lights to put in the camelia bushes, but it turns out they didn't look at the color of the cording and it was all white, which does not blend into the dark green of the leaves, so they got frusterated and only put the one sad strand up! Grams, you are welcome to defend your story in the comment section...) Dew on camelia buds...
Rain drops on paperwhites...

Rufus is white too, mostly!
It's good to be me, and have my "White" Christmas have nothing to do with snow!!!

Christmas Day 2008

Christmas morning started in La Mesa.
Christmas morning was joyous! Happy, sleepy grandparents greeted me in the kitchen. The paper was laid out with welcomed guests...

But then I had to go to work and leave that half of the fun at home. At work, I had a fantabulous hot breakfast.

MMMmmm. Then on to the D. side of the family. Rufus was not entirely impressed that I had shown up.

Grandma loved her present. Cute, cute cute!

Thumbs up from Gramps!

I was pretty happy with my presents too.

Rufus wasn't too cooperative, but that's okay, it's still good to be me wrapped up all warm and snuggly!

Christmas Eve

We were such a happy bunch~ A small, happy bunch! Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Joe, Aunt Shari and myself with a small, happy bunch of gifts, and a whole lot of smiles! Grandma loves hummingbirds, and what a sweet calendar it was.

Grandpa LOVED his liscense plate holder! Small, useful, and it does not take up any space! Great gift!

And, yes, that is the right spelling of Greenie!

Pictures coming

Merry Christmas Eve!!!
I am so excited to get out my new camera (thanks again Mom, Dad, Jeff and G&G D) and photograph the next 2 days events!!!
So, while I have to work today 11-7 and tomorrow 8-5, I will still get to see family after, and will certainly be snap-happy!
I wish everyone a very merry Christmas eve and Christmas day!
It's good to be me, despite working the next 2 days!

Momma Meme'd Me!

My Momma Meme's Me, so Here it is! 4th picture from the 4th folder. To be quite honest, I have no idea what this is a picture of, and i am sure it is not one of my own pictures. See, this happens when you share media with friends and family, which is so fun because you get to see interesting images!
I am guessing this is from my Mother, since the date is from 2005, and yet I did not have any digital pictures in 2005, since my computer crashed and wiped all those out, and my mother's camera is goofy and is off by about 2 years.,
So there you have it.
Not entirely helpful, but fun nonetheless.
It's good to be me!

Morning update

It's still there~~~~ despite the downpouring of rain...
Maybe it will go away.

Oohs and Eeks!

This is the good stuff! Light blue box with a little bit of silver round shiny thing! Not a ring, but better!!! My new camera. And you can see a bit of the background (lace) of the new bed I'm sleeping in too. But here's where the drama for the night happened. See, I was sitting by my computer not bothering NoBody (thanks Hal) and the motion sensor light went off outside the room. Not suprising. Now that I am on a canyon there can be varmints. And coyotes.
Anyhow, the light went off, and I turned to see if I could see anything and I did!!!
Just about fell off my chair too!!! I saw something running away (quite expected) and then it turned and ran towards me looking right at me!!! (quite UNexpected)
It seemed to be quite happy, thrilled to see me, and I certainly did NOT return the sentiment!
This big, scary, lighteyed DOG was staring at me through the window, just wagging it's long furry tail and scaring the berjeebers out of me! It wouldn't go away!
I walked out to the kitchen and it met me at the door all happy to see me. ***Shivers***
And now, an hour later, it's still sitting there!!!
I called a few friends, and they said cheese is okay for dogs to eat, seeing as I didn't have anything else and I have NO idea what dogs eat. It wasn't thirsty. It had a humaine society tag so I called that and left my name and number and the number on the well groomed dog's tag.
I hope it will be gone in the morning so I don't have to deal with it!!!
It even had a bandana!!! Sheesh!

So I took pictures to share with you folks. And one word about how "cute" he/she is, well, that's just not nice. It's a big, scary, glowyeyed monster, I tell you!!!!
It's still good to be me cause it's outside and I'm inside and I am keeping it that way!

Ball got dropped again...

Oh, but I have been absent from the blog world for way too long!!! Admittedly, it was due to a heartbreak. No, not a guy, something way more special than that.
I lost my dearly beloved camera. Well, ok. I didn't lose it. I know exactly where it is. It is sitting right off the La Jolla Cove canyon, under approximately 20 feet of water, surrounded by lovely sea grass, kelp, rocks, sand, and assumably mermaids.
So now I have an underwater camera. Ha ha.
A gift to Triton.
The good news is (drum roll please) I got a new camera!!! Christmas came early in a small box from my brother, parents and grandparents.
It's even better than the one I lost. It zooms 20 times!!! And, wow, it's sharp!
It's got 10 megapixels, the old one had 8.
So, yeah, I am stoked.
And now you can start looking forward to my triumphant return to the world of blogging!
Pictures coming soon,
Thanks for all your patience!
It's good to be me with my new camera!

Happy Belated Halloween!!!

So it's a few weeks late, but I thought it would be fun to share still! Ms. Marilyn Monroe in the house!!!

I didn't have my own steam grade to blow my skirt up like she did, but then I learned a quick trick...

Twirl around and sink down!

Course, it's hard to twirl and keep a nice smile on my face. And the extra kicker is that I think m y brother and I wore the same wig for halloween!!!

It's good to be, and have such fashion sense to share with family and friends!!!

Church Group

Rock hunting with my church group last Saturday. It was a beautiful, clear day, and we were in search off rocks! We are helping to build a wall around another church who has started taking in impoverished girls, and teaching them, kind of like school. Anyhow, we were looking for the rocks to help build the wall around the play area. Good times!

Voter's Day!!!

Well, this family voted!!! It is wonderful to be able to vote as a family, all in agreement, and able to encourage one another.

Let's all keep praying God's will be done, and whoever does manage to win this election submits himself to God's will.

It's good to be me and have a family make a stand together.

"I'm out here not botherin' NObody...

...and this kid keeps coming out and snoopervising!"
Yeah, Grams and Gramps got out there and got the pool filters cleaned.
Eewwww!!! Look at how dirty those filters get!!! It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it!

Look! All clean!!!

It's good to be me, and it's good to see some elderly, retired folk getting out there, getting their hands dirty and having some nice, quality time together. ***Smirk****

Getting older

OK, so this is a bit of an old picture. But I can't believe my baby is getting so old!!! So many miles! As I mentioned, it's an old picture, my car is actually going to turn 90,000 probably by the end of next week. Wah!!! I love my car! Why oh why do the miles just keep coming?
It's good to be me, and I love my car, despite the miles under it's belt!

Guest Blogger Rufus

Rufus has asked that he be able to respond to Tiggie's post on posing. So, since Grandma and Grandpa don't have a blog, I let him post on mine.
"See Tigs, I too, have made my humans match me. The whole house matches me! The vinyl floor, the wood furniture, everything!
I take really good naps too. See how the brilliant purples set off my stunningly cream fur?
I've got everyone here trained to play with me. I've got my own high look out point, just like you Tigs, but mine has a view into my very own garden. Again, see how the whole house has been designed to match ME?
I can pose too! Look how long and slender I look when I stretch out. Sister could barely get all of me in just one picture. I am just too magnificent!
I snoopervise too! I check out the whole garden at least 3-4 times a day. There were a few threats to the security of the garden. 3 lizards since I've been here. I think they were Lebonese or something. Not to worry though, I killed the threat! Top that Tigs! I don't even have my front claws to work with!
And boy am I adorable!!! Carl, my human, tells me all the time how cute I am!
Cute, but ruthless! See how I can stalk? Everything in my yard is my prey!
Except this guy. He and I have chats. I love the French! Siamese speak all the romance languages, Furrench, Purrsian, Siamese, and of course, Cattish.

Top that, Tigs! I rule around here! Look, even the cement matches me! I think I'd like you, though, Tigs, cause you're a boy, and I like boys. Just boys. I think you should bite that Blondie's ankles. Maybe she will get the hint and get outta there so you, B and Hart can rule the place. That's my plan out here. Maybe one of these days, that lady that lives with us will leave and just leave me and my Carl all to ourselves! Now, that would be heaven!!! Just us boys!!!

Course, she does give me Greenies. Eh, I guess I will let her stay a while longer."

I know it's snowing there, but....

It sure is beautiful here! Cosmos soaking up the sun
Fushias dancing in the breeze and guavas gloating
And look, Momma! Persimmons!
