The first part of today

I went for a walk today. Actually, it was a walk/run/splash.

By the time I was done, it was dusk. I love dusk. I got to see the sun and moon changing shifts.

Just thought I would share....

Posted by PicasaYou have to read both the posts for today for a special guest appearance.
It's good to be me, I hope you have enjoyed your virtual exercise!

Second part of the walk....

This one's for you, Dad! Wish I was out there too...
And check out the video at the bottom (this was supposed to be a video, but it did not work, so I reloaded it at the bottom, and that does work)...See! There are dolphins in San Diego!!!
Hmmm. Maybe I should apply....
Posted by PicasaBeautiful day. I walked/ran/splashed from the south Mission beach jetty to Crystal pier, for those of you who know where I am talking about.

Bridal Shower

The bride to be and her father...
The bride in her toilet paper dress. A fun game that is played at bridal showers when a few teams are formed and it is decided who will be the bride and each team is given a few rolls of toilet paper to make a wedding dress. At the end of the game, the bride is supposed to choose the winner of the most beautiful "dress" or whatever other interesting title they could come up with. We won. I did the braided straps, as well as the "bow" atop the veil.

My Grandmother, my Aunt, and one of my cousins.

The table settings...

...and this is what was inside the tarp. I loved the use of crystals! So feminine and yet sophisticated.

Danielle, the bride to be, in white, with my cousins to each side of her, and my cousin's daughter in the middle.

Present time is the best!!! Nice hat too, her sister had made it for her out of a brown paper bag. Turned out nice, eh?

Congratulations to the bride to be!!!

Some of the funnier ones

The cake! The cake! Who wrote that blasted "O-word" on the cake! Shame, shame shame!!!
OOH! That shaved ice was COLD!!!!

These were the loosers of the party. She claims that she dressed 20's because "Dr. Suess was born in the 20's and my shirt has Dr. Suess characters on it." LAME! Her husband didn't even try to come up with an excuse. He just complained that he had to park so far way (a block away.) Mind you, the invitations were very clear that costumes were REQUIRED.
And this is my very special, took an hour and a half to do, hair do....after the rollercoaster and the convertable with the top down. Lovely. I look like Ronaldd McDonnald. (sic)
Mom's after effects of the snowcone. Nice tongue Mom!
Weeeeee!!!!! I'm having fun at my party!!!! I love champagne!!!!!
Someone must have said something funny!
Margo in the top-down convertible, in transit! Man, but we did have fun!!!
You must be asking yourself, what is a convict doing with a pick ax? Well, with my Grandpa, it just makes sence. The bigger question is, what's a gal like that doing with an excaped convict?
Aah, what a great time.
