A hard day of studying

See the pink chair? See the blanket next to it? Yup, those are my "desk" where I spent the entire day studying. I do my best studying when I can be outdoors, preferably in a bikini, in the sun, with a cold drink (in this case water with lemonade packets I added) and a cool place to take a dip. When I got up to stretch my legs for brief periods, I strolled along to see these sights.
It's not a bad place to study if you ask me.
On a political note, the seals have abandoned the Children's pool, and HUMANS are once again allowed to lounge on the sand.
Can you see how clear it is? Fortunately I had brought my snorkel mask and fins.
OK, so these guys didn't go too far. Confirmed what I thought all along, that seals and seal lions can swim. Whaddyaknow?
So they were studying other subjects than I was. My 2 chapters were on the brain and intellegence. These 2 clearly didn't care!
Now, if I could just get the weather to cooperate like this ALL THE TIME, I would get straight A's in university.

32 or...

I was reluctant to celebrate my 32nd birthday...until.... As Margo pointed out, it is THE 16th ANNIVERSARY OF MY 16th BIRTHDAY!!! So I thought to myself, "what was I doing on my 16th birthday?"
And then I remembered and dug out the pictures.

I went bunji jumping! That's right! Good times! Ah, to be young again! Wait. I am still young!!! And for the first time EVER I got to bring cupcakes to class to share. So I whipped up a batch of Funfetti and chocolate cupcakes, frosted them, even, 'cause cupcakes with frosting are SO MUCH BETTER! Especially with SPRINKLES~!!!

So what if it has been 32 years in the making?

Finally, having a summer birthday lets ME be the one to bring cupcakes!

And there was dancing...

Back to the Highland games momentarily.....
I hadn't realized men traditionally competed in the dancing, but here one was...
The little girls were rather cute to watch

Apparently my video is not working, sorry about that.

And, no, I can't dance like that!

Triple Birthday Party 7/11

It was a very cold, grey day for the majority of the time, but when the sun finally made it's debut, we grabbed our boards and headed out to catch some waves. The biggest wave was probably only about 2 feet, but they were fun. The pregnant people stayed put, putting her belly to good use!

Dave, Lauren's husband, had made a mouthwatering lemon sponge cake with strawberries layered cake. We finally got the candles lit and quickly made wishes and blew them out.

Yummy!!!

Happy Birthday to Lauren, Laura and Heather!!!
