Day 3: Snorkel spot #2

The tour guide found a sea urchin which stuck to my hands.
This little blue fish was adorable!!! The coral was beautiful, and sharp!

I could not get over the beauty of the urchins deep color in contrast to the coral.

I'm not sure if this is a baby coral, but I hope it gets bigger. It is beautiful!!!

This guy was kind enough to hold still long enough to get a picture of it's perfectly aqua eyes.

But this guy, this magestic lion fish!!! He took my breath away!!! I don't know how many pictures I took, but this one came out the best! I just stared.

A school of fishies :)

Then this guy came out to say hi! I'm pretty sure he knew that lobster season wasn't for another week, so he was happy to shake hands. He was one of 7 behind that rock.

I'm not sure what he was, but it was beautiful!

The purple and orange created an interesting pattern

Delicate...

These fish were smart to stay under this coral. It was tough and sharp, and I have the scratches to prove it!

Day 3, Belize Underwater

I finally made it into the water to do the other thing (besides relaxing) I had come to do..SNORKEL!!!

This first spot was in Coral Garden, or something to that effect.

I'm not sure words are needed for this post...

My snorkeling buddy...NURSE shark. Nice touch!

I debated trying to swim through this hole, but prefered to not get any cuts...

Hello fishes!!!

Hey, Ray!

...and on to the next spot!!!

Day 3: Fishing

Ah, sigh. A day out at sea!!!

The boat picked me up...

...and bye-bye hotel,

Hello fishies!!!! (Queen trigger fish I caught...beautiful!)

A kiss, and a release!

I also managed to catch some fans, with this little guy attached. Apparently the spots are a skin over the snail. Very cool.

The group caught a good amount, and we headed off to the guides home for lunch.

In the mean time, while the fish cooked, I was encouraged to go next door to the hotel, have a drink and a swim, and relax.

In a place like this, who can do anything else?

Lunch was on the deck, and so I put my feet up, and got ready for my next snorkel spot.

Day 2, BELIZE

Day 2...Went for a walk...
...kicked back....

...checked out some of the local wildlife...

....and other residents....

...the local flora...

....tiny pathway...

...tried to not get attacked by the attack trained conch...(lucky for them the season was over. Unlucky for me..I like conch!)

...checked out the local traditions...the "flip-flop sacrifice tree"...

...it probably does not suck to live here...

...admired the general splendor...

....and couldn't stop smiling!!!
