Updates

I got it, I got it, I got it!!!! Yes, I'm still excited about being a proud new homeowner.
I really, really need to get some of the pictures up to update everyone, but this is what I've done, sans pictures.
I got both bedrooms and bathrooms painted. BIG accomplishment! The master bedroom is now "Afterglow," and the master bath is one shade darker. The guest bedroom is now "Cream in my Coffee," and the guest bath is actually a historical preservation color called "Homestead Resort Spa Aqua." The accent color in the bath is also a National trust for Historic Preservation color called "Woodlawn Valley Haze." I must say, I have thoroughly enjoyed the color selection process. I picked "Heirloom Lace" for the crown molding and baseboard, but it turns out that just makes the room look really dingy. So instead I went back and repainted them "Ultra White." Much, much better!
I finally got my POD unpacked, and the entire contents are spread between the living room and the guest bedroom. My friend Margo and her son came over and declared that my living room is "The palace of Junk." Admittedly, yes, that's about how it looks at the moment.
The past few days I have been taking my time unpacking and thoroughly enjoying looking at old pictures of me parasailing, jumping off a cliff into the ocean, graduating from high school and the like.
So that's about where I'm at. I have the living room with at least the couch and loveseat where I think they will stay, but I really need to get around to putting the feet back on the couch and loveseat. These old knees will thank me when I do!
It's good to be me and have my very own stuff back!!!!

What is it about our family and baseboard painting? Can't ever seem to nail the color in just one try.

Sounds good, Laura! I'm happy that you finally got this place of your own so that you can settle down for some time now, I hope! Hugs from Pia in Stockholm!
P.S. It is the most beautiful time in Sweden now, hope you could be here just now!!!
