Resolutions

Well, I counted it up, and I kept a grand total of 1 resolution from last year! 1! This is why I always have one that I will be sure to keep. So here goes my Resolutions for 2008:
1. Turn the Big 3-0!
2. Write to 1 friend a month. E-mail does not count.
3. Call each Grandparents at least once a month.
4. Save $100 per paycheck.
5. Write a book. Probably a novel, but we shall see...
6. Get under (190) pounds. Sheesh I hate that obligatory weight loss goal.)
7. Pay off Credit cards.
8. Visit the last of the 50 states. Kentucky.
9. Visit one other country, Mexico and Canada don't count since I've already been there.
10. Become a member of a church.
Happy New Year!!!! Belated just makes it more fun! It's good to be me and it's really going to be a great year.

"The Budget Motel."Quite creative, jaunty little name for such an upscale joint such as this! But it does feel good to have a place to rest after a long drive. If I were an interior designer, I may have fell dead the instant I walked in the place. As a nurse, I was highly amused. I would be willing to bet the wallpaper and curtains are older than I am. Classic! It had to be a man who decorated. I hope!

Who needs it?

Well, that's the piece that came off the car. Good thing I had brought back my kitchen mat to lay down on so I could get under the car to unscrew it! No triple A for me! No sir! I am self sufficent, adaptable woman! My parents raised me well. It's good to be me and have my car still running well, plastic parts or not!

Strike up Christmas!

Ah, yes. It shall be a white Christmas! Jeff strung up the old fashoned glass lights in the backyard for our enjoyment from the couch. Our first paper whites are starting to bloom! Very exciting!

And the tree... The Tree! It was hand selected in a light rain by my parents two favorite kiddos, together, peacefully. The first Christmas gift, Mom. Your kids cooperating!

Second Christmas gift, we even decorated it together with gentle traditional Christmas music lending a sweet ambiance. Yes, we accomplished task number 2 together, peacefully.

I think it is looking pretty good, don't you? It is so good to be me now that I can share again!

Hello there!

Well, hello again everyone in Boggerland! Sorry about the brief dropping off the face of the planet! The weekend after the wedding in Texas, my computer decided to crash. Hard. After a few days of just not believing it (denial) I called Dell who told me it had crashed and I would not be able to use it again, or retrieve ANYTHING off of it. Tears! All those years of digital pictures! Lost! (Most nurses are not super computer savy and the term "backing it up" refers to a dance move in my world.) So yeah, all is lost.
After a 3 week period of mourning, I took my computer to the Geek Squad, who confirmed that all was lost, unless I wanted to spend about $1,600 or so. (Not so much!) That led to another grieving period of a few days. After that, I rallied to call Dell and order the new parts to at least get my computer to work. A few days later (translated in the real world instead of Dell-talk) I got the disks to install into the computer and the new hard drive. Guess what! I am not computer literate enough to get them installed! A few hours and days of talking to Dell and, wha-lah! Here I am online again! Wooo-hooo! I can't wait to check out all your blogs again and show you the pretty Christmas tree my brother and I peacefully picked out together in the light rain. Till then, it's finally good to be me again!
